What an outstanding year we have had. I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you so much for all of your support.
Our Cities On The Rail exhibit honors the four cities that became great because of the trains. In 2015, we dedicated the 31 acres of land that is home to the Southeastern Railway Museum to be a natural green space with touring gardens.
The Organic Community Garden boxes at the Depot are ready for public lease and two of the boxes we will use to grow food for charity needs.
The living green tunnel for the children's train is being planted and almost ready to enjoy.
Our new educational and fun programs for our special friends from Annandale's and Just People was a great success and was enjoyed by all.
The rain did not damper our spirits for our seventh annual Pet Festival honoring Mrs. Alice Ziegler who was the founder of the Gwinnett Humane Society. She is also the granddaughter of Alice Strickland who was elected the first female Mayor in the State of Georgia.
Last, but not least, our Society brought to Gwinnett County the Duluth Festival of Trees. It was one of the largest community showing of Artistic Christmas Trees and was held inside the Southeastern Railway Museum. It was a great Christmas Venue that was enjoyed by all. We are looking forward to seeing you again at the 2016 Christmas Tour of Trees !!
